Celdara Medical and The Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth today announced the selection of two outstanding researchers as the recipients of the 2017 Dartmouth SYNERGY/Celdara Medical High-Potential Entrepreneurs’ Fellowships (DS-CHEF). The program provides a part-time, year-long experiential learning opportunity at Celdara Medical to graduate student and post-doctoral researchers affiliated with Dartmouth. Winners receive a paid fellowship and an opportunity to hone a variety of executive skills by exposure to many of the functions of an entrepreneurial biotech company. This year’s winners are Heidi Chapman and Riley Hampsch, both Ph.D. candidates at the Geisel School of Medicine.

In this second year of the DS-CHEF program, we had a large number of impressive candidates, which speaks to the excellence of the Dartmouth students, and their interest in a well-rounded graduate experience.”

It’s exciting to identify and mentor young, energetic and talented senior graduate students and to do our part to enhance the workforce pipeline for the next generation of investigators who will be focused on bringing therapies and products to the clinic.”
Candidates must be nominated by their thesis advisor and have an outstanding record of accomplishment. Winning Fellows are selected by a joint committee with representation from Dartmouth College and Celdara Medical.
